2026 Fairmount's One School, One Book and Read-a-thon Kick Off

DEAR Fairmount Families and Readers!!

The Fairmount School PTA is proud to announce the Fairmount School Read-a-thon 2026! We want ALL of the FAIRMOUNT students to continue developing a love of reading for pleasure, for knowledge, and for adventure. The money raised from pledges will continue to fund student programming, such cultural arts, assemblies, books and other activities.

All reading from March 2nd through March 27th, will count towards the read-a-thon. Reading to yourself or being read to counts! You can even include your reading of APPLEBLOSSOM THE POSSUM, from our One School, One Book initiative.

A HUGE Shout out to Cranberry Junction Ice Cream in Hackensack for GENEROUSLY donating 515 copies of APPLEBLOSSOM the POSSUM to our students!

Our goal is for all students to read a grand total of at least 250 minutes over the span of 4 weeks. More reading is always welcome. Be sure to log it!
